Our Center Island was originally a
work bench that I pulled from the barn of an old New England homestead.
To the original, we added a pair of distinctive knee braces and a top with a
nice overhang that allows enough leg room for two people to pull up a stool
and have a quick lunch or do homework.
A must in every kitchen, our Center
Island is a focal point of the room as well as the gathering center for all
projects large and small. It adds counter work space as well as
utility drawers with two spacious compartments below.
We added a recycle/trash bin and one large drawer to
our original Center Island.
The Center Island with Recycle/Trash Bin (with overhang) top
measures 66" long x 33" deep and the height is 36".
There is a 9" overhang the full length of the back
making it comfortable to pull up 3 stools for a
breakfast or lunch counter. The top and drawer fronts
are made with antique pine barn flooring.
This Center Island can also be ordered with an overhang on all 3 sides to
accommodate seating for 5 people.
Remember! you don't HAVE to stay with the finished
wood look. We can paint your piece to look old!

This is a great piece for those small kitchens that have no space
